Common questions

The app is empty when I open it.

That's expected on a fresh install — Showbound fills up with shows you add rather than shipping with content. Tap + on the Upcoming tab to add your first one. It takes about thirty seconds.

What is show day?

Inside the last 36 hours before a show, the card expands into a run-of-show: doors, set time, and when you need to leave. A live countdown appears on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island so you don't have to keep opening the app. It ends after the show.

How does the leave-by time work?

By default it uses a travel estimate you can set per show. If you grant location access, Showbound routes an actual drive time to the venue and uses that instead — you'll see it marked as routed rather than estimated. Location is optional and the feature degrades to the estimate without it.

I'm not getting reminders.

Check that notifications are enabled: open Settings inside Showbound (the gear on the Past tab), which shows the current permission state and offers a route to iOS Settings if they were previously declined. Reminders are only scheduled for shows you're still tracking, and only for times that haven't already passed.

My venue isn't on the map.

Venues pin themselves once the venue name resolves to a location. If one doesn't appear, the name may not be specific enough to look up — adding the city usually fixes it.

How do I get my data out?

Settings → Data → Export produces a JSON file of everything Showbound holds, which you can save or send anywhere via the share sheet.

How do I delete everything?

Settings → Data → Delete All. It asks for confirmation and tells you how many shows will be removed. It cannot be undone. Deleting the app removes everything too — nothing is stored anywhere else.

Is my data on your servers?

No. There are no servers. See the privacy policy.

Reporting a bug

Helpful things to include, if you have them: what you expected, what happened instead, your iOS version, and whether it happens every time. Screenshots help more than anything.
